Welcome to the Biomedical Engineering Society Chapter at UC San Diego. We are one of the largest Bioengineering student organizations at UCSD and we’re excited to get to know you! Our org is open to all, and if you can name it, we probably have an opportunity, event or committee that you’d like to be a part of. We have 8 committees that plan activities spanning topics from academic research, industrial bioengineering, senior design work, engineering projects, community outreach, and more.
Our chapter’s committee structure allows us to host events throughout the year oriented towards providing Bioengineering students with the tools they need to succeed and with a community in which to thrive. We’re passionate about what we do and we couldn’t be more excited about your interest in BMES! We have not yet scheduled our next GBM. If you would like to get involved, feel free to look through the Get Involved page, or attend one of the other events we have planned.

We have 10 positions open to volunteer with us at Feeding San Diego, a local hunger-relief and food rescue organization. We will be packing and organizing donated food for our community.

Light the Night is an annual remembrance event by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society that honors those affected by blood cancer and raises funds and awareness for life-saving research. We will be assisting with event set up so those affected can celebrate with their loved ones, light lanterns, and partake in the Honorary Walk. We have 24 volunteer spots open for the set-up shift, with varying roles available.
