Within BMES, there are many avenues through which to get involved in your UC San Diego Bioengineering community, the greater STEM community at UCSD, and / or the San Diego community at large. Below are our 8 committees and a brief synopsis of their activities as well as information about what you can gain access to by becoming a member of our chapter. More information about each committee and their leadership can be found under the committees tab.
BMES is your sandbox! You are welcome to explore any and all of these avenues that interest you. Regular commitment to committee meetings in BMES is not required for event attendance or membership, but we believe there’s a place for you in BMES. Our club can always use more hands and fresh perspectives to further our efforts to make the bioengineering community at UCSD closer and more lively!
Interested in getting more value from your involvement in BMES? Membership is the way to do it! There are often perks that come up throughout the year that aren’t listed above as well. The membership dues are $15, but we also have a bundle with a t-shirt for $32.
